American woman Onijah Andrew Robinson, who catfished a Pakistani teen whom she met online, is reportedly returning Stateside after refusing to leave South Asia for several months.

The 32-year-old New Yorker became a social media sensation after she met 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon online. She flew to Karachi, Pakistan, to allegedly marry him in October.

However, upon arrival her in Pakistan to meet her ‘boyfriend’ and his family, his parents immediately shut down the relationship.

She was pictured camping outside the house of her alleged 19-year-old beau, after his parents reportedly intervened in the affair – even though they had already vacated the premises.

Onijah – who is reportedly a mother-of-four – refused to leave Pakistan, despite accepting an offer for a flight back. However, the Independent has now reported that she is en route back to the US.

The woman, who insists she is married to Nidal Ahmed, went viral after clips of her giving press conferences went viral with her adamant she was going to ‘improve’ Pakistan.

‘My plan is to rebuild this entire country. I’m asking for $100k, and I need $20k in cash by the end of this week. That’s my demand from the government,’ she said in one press conference, as reported by Geo News.

‘The government needs to fix these streets… it’s ridiculous here, I don’t like it. You all need to understand that Pakistan needs new buses, taxis, and cars.’

She also alleged that the pair are going to have a baby and live in Dubai.

Eventually, Onijah’s tourist visa was said to have expired and an NGO offered to help her with a ticket back to the US. However, as reported by Black Enterprise, she reportedly ‘refused.’

She was said to be at Karachi International Airport on January 29 when she refused to go through immigration procedures and refused to board a Qatar Airways flight to New York, according to Daijiworld, via Complex.

Arab News says Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori helped with extending Onijah’s expired visa and setting up a flight back to the US, but she last week did not get on.

A spokesperson for the US consulate in Karachi told Arab News that ‘the mission was aware of the situation but could not comment due to privacy laws.’

Despite this, another video then shortly saw Onijah stating that she would be willing to go back home.

‘I would like you guys to book my ticket back to New York,’ she said in a clip, according to the outlet. ‘Money is short right now, and I will appreciate it.’

Officer Kaleem Khan Moosa told the publication she instead took a cab back to Nidal’s old apartment building and stayed there for ‘nearly 30 hours’ before going to a charity shelter.

The woman’s alleged son, Jeremiah Robinson, made a video address saying she has ‘mental bipolar disorder’ and explained he was trying to get her back to the US.
