Back in the day, Oprah Winfrey frequently visited a stunning waterfront mansion in Boca Raton, once owned by the late Diana King. Diana, an American media heiress, was the daughter of Charles King, who gained fame for syndicating popular shows like “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune,” according to brokers familiar with the property’s history.
Today, this luxurious estate has new owners, Sal Calvino and his wife, Karen. Sal, who is the founder of Equivu Capital, is capitalizing on the booming local real estate market. The couple has put the 12,000-square-foot property, located at 2989 Spanish River Rd. in the Estate Section, on the market for a staggering $27.5 million. This is quite an increase from the $7 million they paid in 2020, the same year Sal launched Equivu.
Diana King originally acquired the property in 2003, shortly after CBS took over her father’s company, King World Productions, where she had been employed since 1972.
The mansion has undergone extensive renovations since its original purchase and is now in impeccable, “turn-key” condition. This is according to the listing details provided by brokers Nicholas Gonzalez and Matthew John Moser from Serhant.

The gated estate, which sits on .69 acres, was built in 2002. It features six bedrooms, nine baths, four powder rooms — and 200 feet of prime waterfront.
The Calvinos had previously listed the home for $24.9 million in 2023, then dropped the ask to $19.5 million in 2024. But prices have soared since then.
The home is anchored by a large, open chef’s kitchen with an eat-in nook and a six-person breakfast bar.
There’s also a home office with a lounge area and Intracoastal views, along with plenty of indoor/outdoor entertaining space.
Design details include vaulted ceilings, French doors, a skylight and hardwood floors.
There’s also a dramatic, double-height “club room” that connects the main house to a two-bedroom guest house with its own chef’s kitchen, living room, private entrance and garage.
Outside, the landscaped grounds include mature trees, and a Zen garden with sculptural rocks — as well as a pool with a spa and a fountain.
There’s also a dock and a 24,000-pound boat lift, plus a five-car garage.
