During the NBA All-Star Game, Draymond Green made some bold statements, including calling the league “boring.” However, basketball legend Oscar Robertson was unimpressed by Green’s comments.
86-year-old Robertson retorted to Green’s remark, suggesting that Green might find the NBA dull because he focuses more on passing than shooting the ball.
In a SiriusXM NBA Radio interview, Robertson dismissed Green’s opinion, stating, “Draymond says so much. Who cares what Draymond says? The game is what it is, and people will either enjoy it or not. Ultimately, fans love the game, especially when their team is winning.”
“Not to single that out because I think he knows how to play basketball. But he’s passing the ball to Curry more than anyone I’ve ever seen in basketball. It might be boring to him at times because of what he’s doing, Maybe it is boring when he’s out there. He’s not shooting a lot, and he’s not guarding a lot. So it’s boring.”

Green was not shy about his feelings about the state of the game or the All-Star Game over the weekend, including lobbing plenty of criticism about the new All-Star Game format during TNT’s broadcast of Sunday’s festivities in San Francisco.
Green heavily criticized the inclusion of players from the Rising Stars Challenge, calling it “ridiculous.”
That prompted Charles Barkley to fire back during the broadcast seemingly lecturing Green and said, “His generation messed the game up.”
The NBA has faced a growing problem in interest in its regular season games and All-Star Game and shrinking TV ratings.

Green was speaking to the media over the weekend when he spoke about the challenges the NBA is facing and made his comments that rubbed Robertson the wrong way.
“It’s not smart basketball”, Green said. “I saw a clip not too long ago where Kobe said, it’s accidental basketball. He couldn’t have been more right. It was so refreshing to play against Bron, because every possession is like a chess match, but you don’t get that on a regular basis. It’s just who can run faster, who can hit more 3s, it’s no substance. I think it’s very boring.”
