Outrage on the Road: America’s Angriest Driver Faces Justice for Shocking Assault on Teen and Mother

A man notorious for wreaking havoc on the streets has been handed a prison sentence following a violent road rage incident involving an assault on a woman and her teenage daughter.

Nathaniel Radimak, aged 39, received his sentencing in a Hawaiian court on Wednesday for an attack that gained viral attention in 2025. During this incident, he aggressively confronted Diane Ung and her daughter, Iwalani, while Ung was instructing her daughter on parking maneuvers.

At the time of this incident, Radimak was on parole for a similar offense committed in California. Although he was initially sentenced to five years for that crime, he served less than a year before relocating to Hawaii, where he continued his violent spree.

Radimak has now been sentenced to a seven-year prison term, with the court acknowledging the year he has already spent in custody since his arrest in May of the previous year.

The alarming incident occurred on May 7, 2025, when Radimak dangerously sped past Ung, who was teaching her daughter the intricacies of parallel parking in front of their residence.

He almost clipped their car, and her daughter yelled at him to ‘Slow down!’ The comment prompted Radimak to turn his car around and confront the mother and daughter. 

Ung told local news outlet KITV at the time that her baby was asleep in the backseat of the car when Radimak confronted them. 

She recalled that Radimak yelled at the teen before approaching the window and punching Iwalani in the face.

Radimak apologized in court for the attack. He said he did not plan on it and needed a ‘certain kind of treatment.’ He is pictured above in a social media post 

The furious mother then leaped out of the vehicle to defend her daughter and hurled an iced coffee at his car. 

‘And he came running across the street, struck me like a Superman punch right inside my face,’ she recalled.

‘I fell down to the ground, big gash in my head. And I’m just like, “Go check on the baby. Don’t worry about me. Go check on the baby,” Ung remembered telling her daughter.

Ung had a cut above her left eyebrow from the attack and required eight stitches. Radimak was charged with two counts of third-degree misdemeanor assault and one count of felony unauthorized entrance into a motor vehicle in the first degree. 

He initially pleaded not guilty to the charges but entered a ‘no contest’ plea earlier this week. 

‘Based on the defendant’s presentence investigation, it is evident that the type of criminal conduct in this case was in no way a one-time aberration for the defendant,’ Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Hon-Lum Y. Cheung-Cheng said of the sentencing. 

‘Time and time again, the defendant keeps engaging in similar conduct. The roads may change, but the defendant’s behavior does not, and will not change.’

Radimak’s attorney, Rosa Flores, argued that his actions were a result of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder, local Fox affiliate, KHON reported. 

‘He was actively seeing his medical providers in the months leading up to the May 2025 incident, and the medication kept getting changed,’ she told reporters.

‘He was reporting side effects to that, so he was actively trying to see what he could do about seeking better medication.’ 

Radimak apologized for his crimes at the hearing, telling the court: ‘This was not on the agenda that day. I regret it, like I said. I take accountability. Just feel bad about it. It shouldn’t have happened. I really need a certain kind of treatment.’ 

Judge Clarissa Malinao determined that Radimak was a ‘danger to the safety of the public’ with a ‘lengthy history’ of similar road rage crimes. 

The sentence comes after Radimak made headlines in California for being the ‘Tesla road rage guy.’ 

He had terrorized multiple women on the road and was caught on camera using a metal pipe to bash the cars of his victims in numerous unprovoked attacks between 2022 and 2023.

Radimak was found guilty of criminal threats, vandalism, assault, and elder abuse in the California case. 

Attorney Gloria Allred, who represented four of his victims, previously told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that she would seek his extradition from Hawaii. 

However, Radimak’s attorney said his parole will expire in August, so he will serve his sentence in Hawaii.
