HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KIAH) — Two parents have been charged with murder in the death of their 4-month-old daughter, Brookelynn Fancher. The infant’s body was found inside a motel dresser drawer back in May 2024, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez via social media.

The Sheriff said that Harris County deputies responded to the scene on Rancho Mission Drive on May 26, 2024. He said the parents, Jeremy Fancher and Destiny Campos, had reportedly been living at the motel for over a year.

Saturday, the Sheriff also said Campos was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Fancher was later arrested and booked in Tom Green County.

A third person, Jeremy’s current girlfriend Marilyn Jennifer Mork, was also arrested and charged with hindering apprehension.

Also on social media Saturday evening, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez thanked law enforcement teams for their work in the investigation, and said the arrests bring justice closer for baby Brookelynn.

“I’m glad our team has remained relentless and sought justice for this precious infant.”
