Controversial 'Coachella' mini skirt sold at Target for kids leaves parents torn: 'That’s crazy'

Kids’ fashion is evolving rapidly, with stylish and fashionable pieces becoming more common. I often come across clothing items that not only catch my eye for my future little ones but also for myself.

But, there is a line to be crossed — the problem is no one really knows where that line is.

An Aussie mom has taken to social media to expose one skirt in particular at Target, and parents are well and truly divided.

An Aussie mom has taken to TikTok after spotting a new skirt in Target’s Easter range.

The woman says that the Faux Feather Sequin Skirt, retailing for $25, is “the size of [her] hand” in a size 1.

“So I walk into Target and look at their Easter range, and I spot this mini skirt,” she says in the video.

“I have no idea what the world is coming to, but at what point does a baby need a mini skirt?”

Many commenters on the post agreed with her stance, saying that the skirt belonged on an adult at a festival, not a toddler.

“My first thought was ‘Coachella fit’ not a piece of clothing for a baby,” said one commenter.

“That’s crazy!” another agreed.

“I saw this exact same on the weekend and thought the same!!!!!!” said a third.

“Would’ve been so cute if they were shorts and a few inches longer!” another person said.

However, more said that the skirt was fine, and has far more coverage than it looks on the rack.

“With stockings and boots i think it’ll be really cute,” one person said.

“You do realise kids are also tiny. It’s going to look longer on them,” said another.

“Well like who’s it for again? A baby it will be down to the babies knees or longer most likely,” another agreed.

“It’s not going to be that short on a 6-12 month old… plus it goes over tights,” another person said.

“Sorry I don’t see the problem, my daughter is a size 1 and this goes to her knees,” said another.
