Pat McAfee Show mocks Hulk Hogan getting booed at WWE Raw's Netflix debut with fake press conference

ESPN’s Pat McAfee had some fun with Hulk Hogan’s embarrassing moment during Netflix‘s “Monday Night Raw” in Los Angeles.

The WWE legend was booed mercilessly by the crowd while giving a speech during his surprise appearance at the event.

At the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Hogan, 72, made his entrance to his famous tune “Real American” with his longtime on-screen manager Jimmy Hart. The cheers from fans were almost inaudible over the booing as he spoke.

McAfee was doing commentary for the event alongside Michael Cole.

The wrestling legend, with a career dating back to 1977 and two WWE Hall of Fame inductions in 2005 and 2020 as part of the nWo, paused during his speech to acknowledge the audience despite the mixed reception.

“You, the fans, have always been my most important tag team partner because you all have supported me unconditionally,” Hogan shouted, struggling to be heard over the noise of disapproval.

“The Pat McAfee Show” crew turned the hilarious scene into their own bit, parodying a Hogan press conference in the aftermath of his Raw moment.

“Hello and welcome to this press conference that I’ve called the day after arguably the greatest day in my professional career,” the person dressed in a Hogan costume said. “Last night, tens and tens and tens and tens and tens of millions of people watched the Hulkster bring the house down on WWE Raw to usher in the Netflix era in the Intuit Dome. Greatest night of my life.”

Then, he received a question about the boos from a “reporter” in attendance.

“Now, I will admit I heard a couple of boos smattered across the crowd, and I’ll be honest, I had no idea the people in LA hated Jimmy Hart the way they did,” the fake Hogan said. “They took one look at him with his stringy hair, stupid sunglasses, and the way he was half-assing waving that flag around, and I should’ve expected it.

“Those liberal marks out there can’t stand a MAGA Champion like the Hulkster! But again, they weren’t booing the Hulkster, they were booing Jimmy Hart. Everyone loves the Hulkster, dude!”

While it’s unclear exactly why Hogan was booed. He has become a polarizing figure. He was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame from 2015-18 after it was revealed he used a racial slur in 2007 during a conversation about his daughter Brooke’s love life.

The multi-time wrestling world champion was also a vocal and visible supporter of President-elect Donald Trump during the 2024 election.
