It’s been nearly one week since anyone has seen or heard from 55-year-old Patricia “Patsy” Reed. Her family is desperate for answers and pleading for help.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s been nearly a week since Patricia “Patsy” Reed disappeared and her family is desperate for answers.

For the last six days, Sonya Mynes has been hanging up flyers of her sister Patricia Reed around Jacksonville.

Mynes spoke with sister on the day she vanished, she says this is unlike her and hopes the public can help find her.

“She’s a really sweet person, a really helpful person,” said Mynes.

Sonya Mynes recounts the last conversation she had with her. On the afternoon of August 22, the two sisters spoke on the phone for nearly six hours.

Sonya said Patricia told her she had just gotten out of her car that was stuck in a ditch near Jones road near the Dinsmore community.

“She was disoriented, she really wasn’t sure where she was, she was confused and lost,” said Mynes.

Then her sister’s phone died and she hasn’t seen or heard from her since.

“She’s got her vehicle still with her, which hasn’t shown up, it was last seen coming into Starke by the tag readers, but they weren’t able to pick up another tag reader after that, but from what she said, she made it to Jacksonville.”

Sonya said this is completely out of character for her sister who works six days a week and lives a quiet life.

Police and Sonya have been searching Plummer, Ford and Acree roads, all areas she may have been, but they’ve had no luck finding her or her black Dodge Durango.

“It’s been going up to strangers’ doors, showing her a picture asking if I can go in their backyard to find her,” she said, “I’ve probably been on this road probably at least 30 times. We go everywhere somebody gives me a lead.”

According to the Jacksonville sheriff’s office incident report, Sonya told police Patricia has no diagnosed mental health conditions, no history of going missing, and there’s no signs of foul play.

Her loved ones say they hope to find her safe, soon.

“She’s a nice person. She never did anybody wrong, and we’d love to have her back,” said Mynes.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is actively looking for Patricia Reed.

If you make contact with her or have any information on her whereabouts, please call the Jacksonville sheriff’s office at 904-630-0500.
