Paul McCartney Surprises Wedding Guests with Iconic Beatles Performance at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Celebration

In what can only be described as a night to remember, Sir Paul McCartney reportedly gave newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce a musical gift to cherish, performing the timeless Beatles classic, “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” This memorable serenade took place during the couple’s reception at Madison Square Garden last Friday evening.

The intimate moment was shared with news outlet People by a source, who relayed that after the wedding ceremony, Taylor’s mother, Andrea, welcomed guests into the reception area where a stage was perfectly set for the night’s performances.

Adding to the evening’s star power, one of McCartney’s and Swift’s close friends, Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, was also in attendance. Known for her captivating performances, Nicks reportedly joined in the festivities, keeping the celebration lively as it extended into the early hours of Saturday morning.

Leading up to the glamorous event, Page Six had exclusively reported about the musical heavyweights lined up to entertain the attendees, including the acclaimed singer-songwriter Tim McGraw, alongside other notable names.

As the public savored the details of this fairy-tale wedding, representatives for both McCartney and Swift declined to immediately comment on the enchanting evening when contacted by Page Six on Saturday.

McCartney and Swift have been friends for years, and once appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone together.

The “Blank Space” hitmaker and NFL star, both 36, summoned a list of 1,000 guests — both A-list celebrities and close family members alike — to celebrate their union at an extravagant celebration at the New York City arena Friday.

A more intimate rehearsal dinner at the same venue Thursday evening was held for 100 members of the couple’s inner circle — including fellow songstress Selena Gomez, sports reporter Erin Andrews, Kelce’s pal Ross Travis and Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine.

Following Friday’s massive bash, signs outside Madison Square Garden read “JUST&T MARRIED” to announce the news that the power couple had finally made things official.

The Empire State Building spires showcased a blue light show, acting as the “Opalite” singer’s “something blue.

A press release subsequently revealed Swift and Kelce wore Christian Dior Haute Couture to exchange vows, that comedian Adam Sandler officiated, and that Swift opted to enlist brother Austin Swift as her “Man of Honor,” while Travis enlisted his own brother, Jason Kelce, as “Best Man.”

After the blowout celebration, stars gushed over the experience on social media — including AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron, who took to X with a since-deleted play-by-play account of the experience.

Here’s latest on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at MSG:

Aron divulged in the post that MSG was “magically” transformed into “an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat.”

He wrote that the couple’s vows were “long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing explorations by each as to how they met, why they want to be with each other for all eternity, the promises they made in joining their much-beloved two whole families as one, and committing to their new mutual life together.”

The moment was followed by a “sweep you off your feet kiss,” he elaborated. During the “exquisite” reception, Aron shared that there was “superb food and drink” and “music, music, music.”

He added, “I wish you were all could have been there with me, to witness real, pure, true joy.”
