WASHINGTON — On Tuesday, the Pentagon released the names of four U.S. service members who were among the six casualties in the initial hours of the conflict with Iran.

The soldiers identified were Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, from Winter Haven, Florida; Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. These fallen soldiers were members of the 103rd Sustainment Command, an Army Reserve unit stationed in Des Moines, Iowa.

The attack occurred at Shuaiba port in Kuwait, a key commercial harbor that also serves as a strategic logistics hub for the U.S. military, facilitating the transport of tactical vehicles and supplies into the region.

The identities of the two remaining service members are being withheld until 24 hours after their families have been notified. The attack also injured 18 additional service members.

The six represent the first Americans killed in action in the joint U.S.-Israel war against Iran.

The joint U.S.-Israel campaign entered its fourth day Tuesday, with American forces having struck more than 1,700 targets inside Iran as fighting spread across at least a dozen countries.

Trump and top Pentagon officials warned the toll is expected to rise.
