A shooting at a college campus in Inglewood has left at least three people wounded Friday night as the suspect remains at large.
Police responded to the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology on Aviation Boulevard shortly before 4 p.m.
Sky5 footage shows officers and L.A. Fire Department crews responding to a building where a male suspect was reportedly barricaded inside before fleeing the campus.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man who was allegedly wearing an outfit that resembled a security uniform, according to Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts.
At least two female victims, who were reportedly employees of the college, were transported to a local trauma center one in critical condition and the other in stable condition.
Officers conducted a room-to-room search of the premises, where no additional victims were found. Police have set up a perimeter as they search for the suspect who remains at large.
Details are limited and it’s unclear what led up to the shooting. Mayor Butts said the suspect may have been a former employee of the college but that detail has not been confirmed.
Lanes on nearby Hillcrest and Aviation boulevards will be closed to traffic as a heavy police presence remains at the scene.
This story will be updated as more details become available.
