Stefon Diggs, the NFL star, is facing backlash from animal rights advocates over his newly launched furniture line that incorporates real animal fur.
Earlier this week, the Patriots wide receiver introduced his bespoke furniture and lifestyle brand, ‘SI VIS PACEM,’ during a lavish event held in Miami.
Diggs has been actively sharing the brand’s journey and creative insights on social media, showcasing various images and videos about the collection.
However, shortly after the debut, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) criticized his choice to use authentic animal fur in the designs.
PETA released a statement questioning whether Stefon Diggs realizes the suffering endured by animals like coyotes, who are caught in steel-jaw traps, often leaving their young to perish without them, whether for clothing or décor.
‘These family-oriented Song Dogs can suffer for days before the hunter returns to shoot or bludgeon them to death and peel the skin from their bodies, so PETA urges Diggs to stick to football and use faux fur for his next arts-and-crafts project.’

The furniture collection, which was showcased in a YouTube video on Diggs’ channel, includes a mirror which is lined in genuine coyote fur.
In the same video, Diggs explained his decision to use coyote fur and why he felt as though PETA ‘wouldn’t have too much of a problem’.
He said: ‘I had some options. I could’ve went with faux fur, but you know I wasn’t wearing it, so I felt like PETA wouldn’t have too much of a problem.’
Diggs also explained that ‘Si Vis Pacem is my way of creating peace in my space’.
He continued: ‘I go to war everyday — between my job, my passions and my everyday life. When I come home, I want to feel as much peace as possible.
‘To prepare for what’s to come, or to ground myself. Si Vis Pacem is my way of creating peace in my space; and the only time I truly feel at peace is in the spaces I create’.
It’s been a busy month for Diggs, who welcomed his first child with partner Cardi B on November 4 – just days after he was heavily criticized over his mid-game interaction with a Patriots cheerleader.
Meanwhile, the Patriots star has also been embroiled in a legal battle with social media influencer and clothing designer Chris Blake Griffith, who recently fired back at Diggs after the NFL star sued him for defamation.

Meanwhile, influencer Chris Griffith (R) has filed a counterclaim against NFL star Diggs
Diggs accused Griffith of concocting a lurid tale, after the stylist made allegations of sexual assault against him.
Griffith hit back this week, filing a counterclaim against Diggs as he doubled down on his bombshell allegations.
‘Christopher Griffith is ready to pursue justice for the sexual and physical attacks against him and to hold Mr. Diggs accountable, because in America everyone should have to answer for their actions,’ his attorney, Jacob Lebowitz, told The Daily Mail.
Griffith, who claims he struck up a professional relationship with Diggs in 2022 while working as his style advisor and advising him on his clothing line, has accused the football player of intentionally drugging him, making unwanted sexual advances towards him and later conspiring to kill him.
The Daily Mail has contacted Diggs’ attorneys for comment.
