On Monday afternoon, incomplete skeletal remains, including a human skull, were discovered near a bustling strip mall in Queens. This incident occurred merely a week following the discovery of a woman’s torso by sanitation workers in a trash bag during a cleanup operation in the same area of the borough.

A skull, hip bone and leg bone were found at 134-01 20th Ave. in College Point, according to a preliminary NYPD investigation.

The location, situated just behind a chain link fence, faces a large parking lot adjacent to popular retailers such as ShopRite, Target, HomeGoods, and TJ Maxx.

NYPD officers spent Monday afternoon picking apart the scene alongside homicide squad detectives.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing, police said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is still working to determine the cause of death.

This alarming find emerges just a week after two unfortunate Sanitation Department employees came across a woman’s torso hidden in a trash bag along their early morning route through Queens.

The workers caught one whiff of the suspicious blue bag, held together with tape and rope, and quickly reported the worrying discovery to the NYPD.

Inside, authorities found a dismembered woman’s decomposing torso. The rest of her appendages and head were nowhere to be found.

An investigation into the woman’s demise is still ongoing, but cops are hoping they can use “several unique and identifiable tattoos,” including a cluster featuring three names, to help identify her.
