() Bones found by FBI agents as they revisited the campground where Travis Decker allegedly killed his three daughters were not human, police said Wednesday.

The FBI searched Rock Island campground in Leavenworth again on Aug. 25 and 26 in search of clues about the deaths of Decker’s three young girls, Paityn Decker, 9; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Olivia Decker, 5.

The girls’ bodies were found at the campground in Washington on June 2 and Decker hasn’t been seen since.

Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison announced the discovery of the bones last week and said they were undergoing testing to determine if they belonged to an animal or human.

Bones determined to be non-human

“During the search, personnel recovered multiple bones, including those that required additional examination to determine if they were animal or human,” the FBI said in an update Wednesday.

“Central Washington University has reviewed the bones and assessed that they are not human.”

It comes as police are unsure whether Decker is alive or dead as the search for him stretches into a third month.

“It wasn’t Travis, wasn’t associated with any other cases, not human,” Sheriff Morrison said after the test results came back.

“We want to bring closure, we want to bring answers. We understand the frustration; we’re feeling it as well.”
