Authorities in Arlington Heights, Illinois, have unveiled sketches depicting a man suspected of assaulting a woman on her way home.
The attack reportedly took place around 11:15 p.m. on a Sunday near Lake Arlington, specifically in the vicinity of Windsor Drive and Jonquil Circle, according to police statements.

The victim, an 18-year-old woman, recounted that she was returning from a friend’s house when a man on a bicycle approached her, inquiring about her name, as detailed by police.
When she did not respond, the suspect allegedly knocked her to the ground and attempted to strangle her, police reported.
Showing remarkable resilience, the young woman managed to fend off her assailant and successfully alerted a passing driver for assistance, police added.
Police say the suspect took off on Windsor toward Palatine Road. They’re asking residents and businesses in the area to check their surveillance cameras.
On Thursday, police released sketches of the suspect and a surveillance photo.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall man with a muscular build and long braided hair with circular-framed glasses.
The woman had non-life-threatening injuries, police said, but was hospitalized with bruises to her face.
