The Glynn County Police Department has arrested a woman on allegations of stabbing her fiancé during a domestic dispute in a hotel room on Tuesday evening.
Officers were dispatched to the America’s Best Value Inn & Suites in response to reports of a stabbing incident. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a stab wound to his back. He was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel confirmed his injuries were not life-threatening.
Surveillance footage revealed the injured man exiting the hotel room, followed closely by a woman identified as Leticia Nottingham, 34, who then left the premises. Nottingham was later apprehended by police and identified as the man’s fiancé.
Following extensive interviews, authorities concluded that the altercation arose from a domestic conflict between Nottingham and her fiancé. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to piece together the events leading up to the attack.
Nottingham was located by police shortly after, where she was questioned about the incident. GCPD says that after multiple interviews, they believed that the assault had stemmed from a domestic incident between her and the victim.
Nottingham was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of certain felonies.
