CHESTER, N.J. — Investigators returned Wednesday to the New Jersey home where Brooke Hanlon was found fatally stabbed nearly five months ago.
Neighbors told News Media that at least 15 law-enforcement vehicles gathered at the Pottersville Road residence in Chester and remained there until about 11 p.m. They also said Hanlon’s husband, Conor Hanlon, was seen speaking with police Wednesday afternoon.
Conor Hanlon has denied having any role in his wife’s death. No arrests have been announced.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office told News Media that it had no new information to release about the investigation. Hanlon leaves behind a 1-year-old daughter.
The renewed activity at the home came several weeks after officials released Hanlon’s autopsy report. It classified her death as a homicide caused by “sharp force injuries,” confirming the cause previously disclosed by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office in June.

A 911 call obtained by News Media indicates that Hanlon’s husband was the first person to find her unresponsive. As the dispatcher guided him through CPR instructions, he reported that there was “a laceration” on his wife’s body.

“I just found my wife (inaudible) CPR, I need CPR instructions,” Conor Hanlon said on the call.
“I need you here. I need you here immediately,” he added.

Neighbors told News Media that, in the months since Hanlon was found dead, Conor Hanlon has regularly returned to the residence and spent nights there. Before that, he had split his time between Chester and the Boston area, where his family is from.

Authorities have not said whether investigators recovered a murder weapon at the residence.
In an earlier statement to News Media, Hanlon’s family said, “We have full and unwavering confidence in the investigative efforts of law enforcement.”
