The Powerball jackpot has soared to an impressive $1.70 billion after Monday night’s drawing failed to produce a grand prize winner.
A single ticket that matches all six numbers stands to claim a substantial cash payout, estimated at $735.3 million.
Although the top prize remained unclaimed, nine fortunate ticket holders nationwide did secure prizes of $1 million or more.
Winning tickets that matched all five white ball numbers were sold in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, each earning their holders $1 million.
Additionally, Saturday’s drawing was fruitful for many, with 107 tickets winning $50,000 each and 28 tickets earning $100,000 prizes.
The current jackpot has been rolling since Sept. 6, when two winners beat odds of 1 in 292.2 million.
If someone wins Wednesday night’s drawing, the cash value totals $781.3 million.
The current jackpot is now the fourth largest in the game’s history, with the next drawing on Wednesday, Dec. 24.
This year has produced three major Powerball wins: the $1.8 billion September prize, a $526.5 million jackpot claimed in California in March and a $328.5 million prize won in Oregon in January.
