() President-elect Donald Trump is blaming President Joe Biden and other federal agencies for the nation’s violent crime, including the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside a Nevada hotel, and has vowed to rid the country of “violent scum”.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social account that Biden, the Department of Justice and the FBI had devoted too much time focusing their attention on him rather than radical Islamic terrorism and other violent acts.

The posts, which appeared on Trump’s Truth Social account after the deadly attack in New Orleans and the truck explosion, said that violent crime has become so bad in America that “it will become hard to even imagine or believe.”

The FBI said Thursday that Shamsud-Din Jabbar posted five videos to his Facebook account while driving from Houston to New Orleans, pledging his allegiance to the Islamic State.

On Wednesday night, Trump wrote Biden and his “election-interfering thugs” have done to the country will not soon be forgotten.

In the post, Trump accused the Department of Justice, FBI and Democratic state and local prosecutors of not doing their jobs.

“They are incompetent and corrupt, having spent all of their waking hours unlawfully attacking their political opponent, ME, rather than focusing on protecting Americans from the outside and inside violent SCUM that has infiltrated all aspects of our government, and our Nation itself,” Trump wrote.

Biden did not respond to questions directed at him as he returned to the White House from the New Year holiday at Camp David on Thursday.

Biden met with national security officials on Thursday to be briefed on the New Orleans attack and the Las Vegas explosion. The president was also briefed several times during New Year’s Day on the incidents.

Biden told reporters on Wednesday that his response to the New Orleans attack was “one of anger and frustration.”
