President Trump has been praised as a “colossus” and a “giant of Jewish history,” with many asserting he is exceptionally worthy of receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana declared, amid applause, “President Donald J. Trump, you will be remembered as a colossus in the annals of history for millennia to come.”

Ohana continued, “No individual on this planet has done more to further peace than you. Your election to the presidency marked a pivotal moment, not only for the United States but for the world at large.”

He added, “You have become one of the most influential presidents in history, saving countless lives with your leadership.”

Ohana also mentioned that Israel plans to advocate for Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in the coming year.

“There is no one more deserving than you, President Trump,” he told the commander in chief.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Trump “the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House,” while profusely thanking the president for helping reach peace in Gaza and clinch the release of all Israeli hostages.

“No American president has ever done more for Israel.  it ain’t even close,” Netanyahu said.

“You’ve already been etched in the history of humanity,” the prime minister added. “Thank you, President Trump.”

The Israeli prime minister also hailed Trump for his commitment to peace.

“You are committed to this peace, I am committed to this peace,” he tells Trump. “Together, Mr. President, we will achieve this peace.”

Netanyahu also said he was submitting his name to be awarded the Israel Prize — the state’s highest cultural honor — for his efforts in freeing the hostages.

“Mr. President. Thank you for all you have done for us. I have submitted your nomination to be the first non-Israeli recipient of the Israel Prize. Israel’s highest award,” he told Trump as the Knesset erupted in applause.

Netanyahu then threw some shade at the “other prize,” alluding to the Nobel Peace Prize, and told Trump it’s “just a question of time” until he wins the award.

The president and his team brokered the landmark peace deal last week, in which Hamas agreed to release 20 surviving hostages and return the remains of 28 others — captives who endured more than two harrowing years in Gaza after being abducted from southern Israel during Hamas’ bloody Oct. 7, 2023 invasion.
