Protesters disrupt Gal Gadot's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony

(KTLA) Protestors from both sides of the war in Gaza clashed outside actress Gal Gadot’s Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood. Pro-Palestinian supporters were furious the Israeli actress is being celebrated as the war rages on overseas.

What was supposed to be an exciting and festive moment for the “Wonder Woman” actress on Tuesday turned into violent confrontations amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Gadot has been an outspoken advocate for her native country following the deadly Hamas-led attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

The “Snow White” actress has delivered rousing speeches continuing this rhetoric at various events. Earlier this month, she received the International Leadership Award from the Anti-Defamation League at the Never is Now 2025 Summit on Antisemitism and Hate.

“I am proud to be Jewish and proud to be an Israeli,” Gadot said in her speech at the event.  “But this is a time when many of us in the Jewish community have had to find our voice and confront the hatred against us, even if it’s extremely uncomfortable… Even if speaking up wasn’t really your thing, none of us can ignore the explosion of Jew hatred around the world anymore. And that is what I am doing. No AI needed. It really is me, standing in front of you today, saying, simply, that my name is Gal, and I am Jewish. And we have had enough of Jew-hatred. So we are here, together calling for the release of every single one of our hostages. We have to bring them home.”

Video from Sky5 shows the feuding groups from both sides gathered on Hollywood Boulevard outside the ceremony, which was held in a tent on Tuesday morning.

Slurs and insults were repeatedly shouted at each other. Tensions even escalated to physical contact. A witness told local affiliate KTLA that someone from one side stole a flag or item from the opposing group, which led to more violence and prompted police to make a number of arrests.

Video obtained by KTLA showed a pro-Palestinian demonstrator calling a pro-Israel activist “a Nazi.”

Gadot’s ceremony comes ahead of her debut as the Evil Queen in Disney’s new live-action “Snow White,” which hits theaters on March 21. “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins and Gadot’s “Fast X” co-star Vin Diesel joined the actress as she received the honor.

So far, Gadot has not made any public comments about the demonstration.

The ceremony comes hours after Israel launched airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning.

The region’s Health Ministry said this killed at least 400 Palestinians, which were mostly women and children.

The surprise attack ended a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, which had been in place since January.

The White House said it had been consulted and voiced support for Israel’s actions. A senior Hamas official said Netanyahu’s decision to return to war amounts to a “death sentence” for the remaining hostages.
