Thursday evening turned into a memorable night for Matthew Stafford.
The 37-year-old quarterback was celebrated as the NFL’s MVP, a result of his impressive stats: a league-topping 4,707 passing yards, 46 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions.
Yet, it was his acceptance speech that truly stole the spotlight, drawing the most enthusiastic cheers, particularly from head coach Sean McVay and wide receiver Puka Nacua, who were present to share in the moment.
“I can’t wait for you to cheer me on next year when we’re out there kicking a**,” Stafford said to his four daughters, who joined him on stage. “I’ll see you guys next year. Hopefully, we won’t be at this event because we’ll be busy preparing for another game at SoFi.”

Following their loss to an NFC West rival in the NFC Championship, Stafford and the Rams are eager to change their fortunes in the upcoming season.
The return of their MVP quarterback combined with McVay, Nacua, and a physical defense instantly makes the Rams Super Bowl contenders.
And that’s where Stafford will look for the perfect Hollywood ending, with the Lombard trophy in hand and confetti falling from the rafters of his home stadium.
