FLORIDA, USA — Snow graced the Florida Panhandle early Sunday morning, marking an unusual occurrence for this region known for its warm climate. Remarkably, this is the second consecutive year that the Sunshine State has witnessed such a wintry spectacle.
The National Weather Service announced overnight that snow accumulations could increase, with colder temperatures and more intense snowfall potentially leading to 1-2 inches of snow, and some areas might even receive up to three inches.
In January 2025, a similar snowy event took place. Notably, Milton, a location not far from Pensacola, experienced significant snowfall, with some spots reporting a total of 9.8 inches.
