Controversial liberal Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is a ‘long-time member’ of a Facebook group where members of terrorist organization Hamas were ‘glamorized,’ according to a shocking new report.

The group in question, the Palestinian American Congress, is not accessible to non-members, reports Fox News.

The report details that the group’s founder Maher Abdel-qader has been a friend and fundraiser of Tlaib’s for a while. In the past, he has been accused of making social media posts regarding the legitimacy of the holocaust.

On October 12, five days after Hamas’ brutal assault on Israel, a member wrote in the group: ‘We don’t want to throw you in the sea…we want you to ride it back from where you came.’

The message was accompanied with a picture of an elderly Jewish woman with a Hamas terrorist. On October 19, a message championed the deaths of Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza at the hands of Hamas gunmen.

While another poster took aim at the US media calling it ‘the problem’ and alleging the media played a part in the creation of the state of Israel. DailyMail.com has reached out to Abdel-gader for comment.

‘You consider Hamas a terrorist organization and I am not going to argue with you at the same time you have been broadcasting that they have been killing women and children, guess that is what terrorists do at the same time no mention to the killing of Palestinian women, children and entire families killed on a daily basses (sic) by the [peace-loving] state of Israel using American gifts of weapons and jet fighters,’ the same poster added.

‘Yesterday I didn’t see Hamas I saw the grand kids (sic) of the refugees that ethnically cleansed from their homeland attacking the grand kids (sic) of the colonists whom sent them to diaspora,’ it went on.

Even prior to October 7, pro-Hamas messages were prevalent on the page, the Fox report details.

According to Fox News, Tlaib,  has been a member of the group since 2018.

Tlaib, which includes the cities of Detroit, Dearborn, Southfield and surrounding suburbs. The House voted to censure her on Nov. 7 for comments she made online in response to the conflict between Hamas and Israel.

Tlaib was born in Detroit to Palestinian immigrant parents and has family living in the West Bank.

Over the years, Abdel-qadar has been at the center of several anti-Semitic controversies, including previously questioning if those who identify as Jewish today are actually Jewish and Holocaust denials, something he later walked back.

Abdel-qader is the Chairman of the Board of the National Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects.

In 2018, he donated $6,500 to her congressional campaign. That same year, Tlaib awarded him a medal to celebrate his achievements in fundraising for her campaign.

In March 2021, he shared an image of Tlaib, a member of the so called ‘squad’ of progressive Democrats, joining a Zoom call for what he described as a ‘great successful fund raiser’ for a candidate running to become lieutenant governor of Virginia.

At the time of her 2018 election, Tlaib distanced himself from his positions.

‘It is unfair to be held responsible for the statements of others, especially when my actions — including votes as a Michigan legislator and leading the Take On Hate campaign — make clear that I oppose all forms of hate and condemn those who dehumanize others,’ she told the New York Times in a written statement.

Screenshots saved by the Daily Caller showed cartoonish images of Jews surrounded by cash that were featured in a video posted in his Facebook group in 2021.

‘Research the truth about the Holocaust, and you’ll definitely start to question what you thought you knew,’ the video’s narrator reportedly says.

Tlaib has been a constant critic of Israel in recent years, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of committing ‘war crimes’.

And, along with other leftwing Democrats including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, she has frequently described Israel as an ‘apartheid state’ for its treatment of Palestinians.
