After no ticket managed to hit the winning combination on Friday night, the Mega Millions jackpot has surged to an astounding $900 million for Tuesday’s draw.
The latest draw, which took place on Friday, featured a jackpot of $843 million, marking it as the eighth largest in Mega Millions history. The cash option for this prize was $391.7 million.
For those who match five white balls, prizes can range between $1 million and $10 million. The jackpot has been steadily increasing since the last big win of $348 million in Virginia on June 27. This marks the longest period without a jackpot winner since Mega Millions began in 2002.
The winning numbers drawn on Friday were 16, 21, 23, 48, 70, with the Mega Ball being 5.

The jackpot winner has the option to take the cash lump sum of $391.7 million or annuity, which is paid out in one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments increasing by 5% every year.
