A man in North Carolina, who has been arrested over 40 times in the past, is now facing charges related to the murder of a 51-year-old man. The suspect, 32-year-old Ronnie Fewell, is accused of shooting Ronald Neville on October 10 at a Motel 6 in Charlotte, according to official arrest documents. Neville was discovered at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead by authorities.

Surveillance footage reviewed by law enforcement revealed that Fewell, along with two other men, forced their way into Neville’s motel room. The trio spent only a few moments inside before one of them exited hastily, carrying a backpack he had not brought in with him, police reported.

Fewell now faces charges including felony murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and felony conspiracy, all tied to Neville’s death. Authorities have identified him as one of four individuals allegedly involved in the fatal incident.

Despite the extensive criminal history, many of Fewell’s previous charges were reportedly dismissed by local prosecutors, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Fewell was given no bond and was ordered to be detained at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Court and arrest records reviewed by Fox News Digital show that Fewell has been arrested at least 40 times dating back to 2012.

Many of the charges were dismissed by the local state’s attorney and resulted in no jail time, according to court records, but he has served time in prison for several convictions.

“Another serial criminal who was walking free in Charlotte, NC, has just been arrested for the MURDER of a 51-year-old man,” Harris wrote.
