The Kansas City sports reporter who was found dead while covering the Super Bowl had Xanax in his system, cops testified during a hearing into the ‘Bourbon Street Hustler’ Danette Colbert.

Adan Manzano was part of Telemundo’s team covering the Chiefs’ clash with the Eagles when he came across Colbert, who has a long criminal history.

He was found dead in his New Orleans hotel room, with haunting security footage showing the pair outside Manzano’s room just before 4am on February 5.

Colbert, 48, dubbed the ‘Bourbon Street Hustler’ by New Orleans locals, was the last person to the 27-year-old alive.

She is charged with fraud and during a bond hearing on Tuesday, police detective Jeffrey Fitzmorris testified that a preliminary toxicology report found Xanax in Manzano’s system, according to reports.

Manzano did not have a prescription for the depressant, which Fitzmorris reportedly said is commonly used in thefts because it can cause amnesia.

Colbert, who was arrested by police on February 7, is facing charges of purse snatching, illegal transfer of monetary funds, computer fraud, bank fraud and simple robbery

Cops reportedly found the reporter’s cellphone, as well as his credit and debit cards, at her home.

A judge denied Colbert bond and ruled she poses a flight risk and is a ‘danger to society’, given her long criminal record.

Colbert was arrested after being caught using Manzano’s credit cards in stores across New Orleans.

The Kenner Police Department later announced it was investigating whether Colbert drugged Manzano.

‘Colbert has an arrest history that includes similar allegations involving drugging individuals to facilitate theft,’ it said.

Daily Mail previously revealed Colbert’s long history of crime, that includes prior arrests for drugging men to steal their Rolex’s.

Her first known conviction was from a simple robbery in New Orleans in 2012. She skipped several court dates before eventually pleading guilty to possession of stolen goods, and given two years probation on October 1, 2013.

Then on November 4, 2014, she talked her way into a tourist’s hotel room and left with $100 cash, his credit cards, and a $4,000 Rolex watch.

Colbert met the 35-year-old man on Bourbon Street at 4am and ‘inquired if he wanted to party with her’ – to which he agreed.

He took her to a convenience store to withdraw cash and eventually to his hotel room, only to wake up at 10am to find his property gone.

Manzano was covering his third straight Super Bowl, having also been in Arizona and Las Vegas before this month’s visit to New Orleans.

His wife, Ashleigh Boyd, tragically died in a car accident last year. The couple’s young daughter is now without both of her parents.
