The Los Angeles Police Department is looking for clues after a gruesome discovery in Hollywood.
On Monday afternoon, human remains were found in the trunk of an impounded Tesla located at Hollywood Tow on Mansfield Avenue near La Brea.
Employees of the tow yard reported a foul odor from the car around 12:30 p.m. The Tesla was parked on the roof of one of the yard’s parking structures.
Due to the decomposition, the gender of the person isn’t known
LAPD says the car, which had Texas license plates, was towed from the Hollywood Hills after it was reported abandoned nearly a week ago.
TMZ reports the car is registered to singer D4vd. Police told the outlet that the Tesla is registered to David Anthony Burke, which is the popular singer’s real name, out of Hempstead, Texas.
The singer is currently on tour and is set to perform at the Fillmore Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Tuesday night.
On Monday, he posted on Instagram about his new album “Withered Deluxe: Marcescence,” which is due out on Sept. 19.
“Every song written exclusively by me on my phone baby, this is a passion project I put together to make sure I didn’t lose the raw emotional weight my music carries and how much it means to u all. Thank you to all the friends who collaborated with me on this. Everyone ATE THEIR VERSES UP,” the caption read.
The singer is known for hits like “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.”
He hasn’t made any public statements regarding the case.
