A luxury brand specialist has been identified as the woman who face planted a subway platform while attempting to grab a MAGA hat from a stranger’s head, whom she had just called a ‘racist’.

Alberta Testanero, 55, was named by the New York Post after she got into a heated spat with the man on a 6 train in midtown New York last week.

The Italian-American dual citizen was filmed shouting at the man and calling him ‘racist’ and ‘uneducated’ over his support for Donald Trump.

While the video did not show what led up to the exchange, things escalated when she attempted to grab the man’s hat as he exited the subway.

Testanero then sprinted after him, but tripped and fell in the process.

A former colleague revealed to the Post that they had stopped talking to her once she had become ‘extremely liberal and very agitated’.

The ex co-worker claimed that Testanero would often argue with Republicans and people she deemed racist.

Testanero is a freelance creative director who attended the Fashion Institute of Technology.

She has worked with high end clients such as Tiffany & Co, Coach and Kate Spade.

It appears as thought Testanero has deleted her LinkedIn and Facebook profile in the aftermath of the incident.

However, an online platform for creatives states that her expertise includes, ‘creative direction, photo art direction, branding and design’.

Online records indicate she lives in a $4,000-a-month apartment steps from the Empire State building.

Testanero did not return requests for comment from DailyMail.com.

In video of the incident which has since gone viral, Testanero accused the man in the hat of being a ‘racist’ in a fiery shouting match surrounded by uncomfortable passengers.

‘If you f**king voted for Trump you’re a racist,’ she says.

A watcher-on intervened, telling the woman that comments like hers are the reason Trump won the presidential election.

‘That’s why he won,’ the man repeatedly says in the video, which was shared to Instagram. ‘He won because of people like you.’

The woman then set her sights on the other commuter, telling him, ‘you’re okay with that? He’s a racist.’

The man in the MAGA hat initially appears to take it in his stride, awkwardly laughing at the interaction and asking ‘how am I a racist? What race would I be racist against?’

When the train arrived at 28th St, the MAGA passenger took off his cap and held it in his hand as he stepped out of the carriage.

At that exact moment, Testanero lunged at him, making an apparent grab for the hat.

The duo appeared to tussle on the platform before the hat-wearer set off on foot, prompting her to chase him.

As she again lunged for the hat, the man slipped out of her grip once again and she face planted firmly onto the filthy subway platform.

A second man who was with the first man followed quickly behind, stopping as he reached Testanero to seemingly take a photo of her face as she squirmed to get off the ground and get back to her feet.
