RHONY alum Jill Zarin revealed that both of her cars were stolen from the driveway of her ritzy Boca Raton home after she left them unlocked with her keys inside. 

Zarin, 59, posted videos about the crime to her TikTok and Instagram on Monday and shared the details of the car theft. 

In the video, the reality star noted that the ‘very bold people’ stole her vehicles inside a gated community early in the morning and that she captured the incident on camera. 

‘So, I learned that the windows, or the side windows go in when you lock the car. So, thieves go around parking lots and everywhere looking for cars that have the windows open- they know the car’s unlocked and it’s likely that the keys are in the car,’ she said. 

The Boca Raton Police Department confirmed the theft and told DailyMail.com that the incident took place early on February 3. 

‘The resident left both key fobs in the car unlocked in her driveway,’ the police said. 

They also revealed that Zarin’s white and gray 2022 Mercedes Benz 560s and blue 2021 Maserati Levante were snagged from the home. 

The Mercedes, which appears to be rare, is estimated to go for more than $90,000. The Maserati is retailed at around $90,700. 

In the video, Zarin added that ‘in her case,’ the thieves ‘had a better shot’ at stealing her cars as she admitted she made the mistake of leaving the keys in the car. 

‘I will never do that again – I will also have cameras around my house,’ she said. The entrepreneur then clarified that she wanted to invest in more advanced cameras that detect motion, sound and light. 

‘Anyway, I just want you guys to be aware of what’s going on, even in the most safest. gated community in and anywhere.’ 

Zarin added: ‘So, thieves did get into our community in spite of all of the security that we have. They did steal my cars at two-o-clock in the morning – both of them! Boy is that bold!’ 

Authorities said that the case is an active investigation. It is unclear if there are any leads on the robbers or the cars’ whereabouts. 

Zarin was one of the original founding members of the Real Housewives of New York- known for their iconic drama and viral moments.

RHONY premiered in March 2008 with Luann de Lesseps, Alex McCord, Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, and Zarin. 

Since her departure from RHONY in 2012, the entrepreneur has been working on growing her brand.

She and her daughter, Ally Shapiro, 31, started a line of goods called Jill and Ally. The venture began with face masks during the pandemic, but has spread out to include apparel, bags, jewelry, glassware, and more.

The designer has also created her own line of home goods, called Jill Zarin Home.

The Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives club star recently revealed she is taking medication for anxiety and depression. It was her late husband Bobby’s illness that finally led to her getting the proper treatment.

The Zarin’s Fabrics owner died of anaplastic thyroid cancer. His funeral was covered on season 10 of RHONY.

In an interview with People, she explained: ‘I’m medicated now. I suffer from anxiety and partial depression. I didn’t realize it before, but I wound up going to doctor and was prescribed medicine for it,’ said the TV star.

The reality star said she first started to notice something was wrong when she was working on the Real Housewives of New York.

‘Now, I take an antidepressant and it’s really changed my life,’ she added. ‘Things don’t bother me as much as they did. I’m a lot calmer. It’s just one of the changes I’ve made in my life I think fans will be surprised to see.’ 

In July, Zarin hosted her annual exclusive luncheon in Southampton as she smiled brightly in a white, pastel pink and green floral tea length dress.

The entrepreneur styled her auburn tresses in an elegant French twist for the afternoon. 

The luncheon, which is held every year in honor of her late husband, is called the Bobby Zarin Memorial Trust.
