Rich Paul believes white American athletes don’t trust black sports agents, as he said Tuesday on a radio show.

Paul, famously the longtime agent of LeBron James, has created a basketball empire with his Klutch Sports Group which represents many other players throughout the NBA.

Still, there’s a certain demographic that he can’t seem to crack.

‘I was talking to a friend of mine who works in sports, and he said that as successful as Rich Paul is, that white athletes and white families, they don’t trust a black sports agent,’ Clay Cane said to Paul on ‘The Clay Cane Show’

‘So I wanted to know, is that your – is that an accurate statement?

‘That’s accurate, yeah,’ Paul replied.

‘It’s not international players because international players actually have a different outlook on it…. But if you grew up in, you know, Indiana or Georgia or, you know, or Oklahoma, or even Ohio for that matter. Yeah, no.’

‘You would think it’d be a line down the street, but it’s not. Yeah.’

Paul mentioned that he does have one white client – the Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic, who’s from Bosnia.

The 41-year-old’s agency has become a massive player in the NBA, with players such as Trae Young, De’Aaron Fox and Anthony Davis as clients.

Paul has also been dating pop star Adele since 2021.

He documented his rise to success in his just-released memoir, ‘Lucky Me.’
