A Bronx driver unleashed a violent road rage incident, shooting a man and leaving him in critical condition before fleeing the scene, police and sources revealed on Monday.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Frankie Poventud, is accused of shooting a 36-year-old man during an altercation at the intersection of Concourse Village and East 156th Street on Friday shortly before 4 p.m., according to law enforcement and insider sources.
The victim, who reportedly had no prior acquaintance with Poventud, was rushed to Lincoln Medical Center by private transport. Authorities have confirmed that he remains in critical condition.

Police have charged Poventud with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the incident.
His arraignment was pending late Monday.
