Robert F. Kennedy Jr. allegedly cheated on his wife, Cheryl Hines, with New York Magazine’s political correspondent Olivia Nuzzi.
The journalist, who is 31 years old, confessed in a statement on Thursday night that some of the communications between themselves and a former subject they reported on had become personal. However, they did not disclose the identity of the former 70-year-old presidential candidate who withdrew from the 2024 race last month.
Nuzzi insisted, however, that their relationship was not physical.

Sources told The Post that the reporter and the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy allegedly sexted while she was engaged and he was married.
Following her admission, New York Magazine announced in a note to readers that Nuzzi has been put on leave.
The publication issued a statement saying that their Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi had admitted to the magazine’s editors that she had entered into a personal relationship with a former subject related to the 2024 campaign while covering the campaign. This act was deemed a breach of the magazine’s regulations regarding conflicts of interest and transparency.
“Had the magazine been aware of this relationship, she would not have continued to cover the presidential campaign.”
The magazine shared that “no inaccuracies nor evidence of bias” was found in an internal review of her published articles.
As a result of this admission, Olivia Nuzzi is currently on a leave of absence from the magazine. Furthermore, the publication has initiated a thorough external review of the situation. The outlet expressed remorse for compromising the trust of its readers.
RFK Jr. has been married to Hines, 58, since 2014.
The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” alum has not publicly responded to the news.
