The teen was reunited with family, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said.
ORANGE PARK, Fla. — A missing teen has been reunited with family after more than a month, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Alyssa Umbaugh was last seen Dec. 1 in the Orange Park area near Youngerman Circle, Blanding Boulevard and I-295. The agency said it was “tirelessly” searching for the 15-year-old around Dec. 31 last year.
Hundreds participated in searching for her, with volunteers hanging flyers at Orange Park businesses with pictures of the teen.
The sheriff’s office said anyone who assisted in her disappearance will be held accountable.
“We appreciate everyone’s willingness to share her photo and information as we worked to locate her,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post. “Our investigative efforts are ongoing and anyone who may have encouraged her to runaway, assisted in hiding her, or kept her whereabouts unknown to law enforcement will be held accountable.”
