() Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Jay Inslee, the ex-governor of Washington, disagree whether President Trump’s focus on fossil fuels is short-changing the potential of green energy in the United States.

Republican Palin said she supports the way Trump has elevated traditional forms of energy, such as oil and natural gas, which could benefit her state.

“I think that Alaskans realize that God just dumped this vast amount of natural resource underfoot. We just need to turn the spigot on,” she told “CUOMO” on Wednesday.

Palin conceded green energy may have a role in a national strategy, but she claims Democratic presidents have squandered taxpayer dollars on questionable projects.

Inslee, a Democrat, said Trump is responsible for the loss of 50,000 jobs that would support cheaper renewable energy sources.

“He must have been scared by a wind turbine when he was 3 years old or something,” Inslee said of Trump. “I was afraid of the flying monkeys in ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ I got over it.”

Trump, who famously promised to “drill, baby, drill,” told voters he would lower U.S. consumers’ energy costs by 50% within a year.
