A suspect has been apprehended following a stabbing incident near Penn Station in New York City on Sunday evening, which resulted in multiple injuries, including one severe case, authorities reported.
The Fire Department of New York (FDNY) informed Fox News that emergency teams were dispatched to the scene at West 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue shortly after 7:00 p.m. This response followed alerts that several individuals had been attacked with a knife.
FDNY officials confirmed that a total of six people were injured. Among them, one person faced serious harm, two sustained moderate injuries, and three others experienced minor injuries.
Visual evidence and medical supplies were observed scattered on the floor at Penn Station, marking the aftermath of the violent event that left five individuals wounded. One of the victims was critically injured.
Five of the injured were taken to Bellevue Hospital, including the person with severe injuries and two with moderate injuries. Meanwhile, a sixth individual, who suffered minor injuries, received treatment at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Amtrak Police, which is leading the investigation, said a suspect has been taken into custody.

Amtrak Police, which is leading the investigation, said a suspect has been taken into custody.
“Earlier this afternoon, Amtrak Police responded to a reported stabbing at New York Penn Station,” Amtrak said in a statement. “The suspect has been apprehended and an investigation is underway.”
