7 arrested during child sexual predator sting in north Alabama

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — In a recent crackdown on child sexual exploitation, Decatur police have apprehended seven individuals as part of an undercover mission designed to unearth child sexual predators, as announced on Monday.

Dubbed “Home Alone,” this initiative commenced on November 25, with officers taking on the roles of minors on various online platforms to ensnare potential offenders.

Over the course of ten days, law enforcement engaged in dialogues with individuals who were under the impression they were conversing with minors. These suspects then planned face-to-face meetings with the intent of committing sexual acts with the children, as per police reports.

The operation concluded on December 5, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals who now face 16 charges collectively. Those apprehended include:

Miguel Pedro Alonzo, 32, from Decatur, AL
He is charged with Human Trafficking in the First Degree, Electronic Solicitation of a Child, and Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act.

He is being held with no bond due to Aniah’s Law.

Ezequiel Francisco, 20, Decatur, AL.
Charges: Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act, Electronic Solicitation of a Child.

He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.

Jarett Manard Williams, 33, Cullman, AL.
Charges: Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act, Electronic Solicitation of a Child.

He is currently being held on a $90,000 bond.

Roger Alexander McDaniel, 30, Cleveland, AL.
Charges: Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act, Electronic Solicitation of a Child.

He is currently being held on a $90,000 bond.

Dominique Oneal Strong, 30, Union Grove, AL.
Charges: Transmitting Obscene Material to a Child by Computer.

He is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.

Baltazar Sebastian Cristobal, 42, Decatur, AL.
Charges: Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful Sex Act, Electronic Solicitation of a Child.

He is currently being held on a $90,000 bond.

Jalen Jaquan Nunn, 29, Decatur, AL.
Charges: Four counts of Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

Police said Nunn filmed an underage child while the child was fully nude.

He is currently being held on a $240,000 bond.

Police said there were additional people who didn’t show up at their arraignments. More arrests are possible.
