Sharon Osbourne passionately defended her daughter Kelly Osbourne amid backlash over her weight loss following the passing of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.
During Wednesday’s episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” the former “Talk” host expressed, “She’s grieving the loss of her dad.”
Sharon elaborated, explaining that Kelly is currently unable to eat properly, and criticized “unhappy” individuals who hide behind social media to spread negativity.
“How often do we misjudge someone based on our perceptions?” Sharon, 73, questioned Piers Morgan, 60.
She added, “You and I wouldn’t waste a moment of our lives writing something negative about them.”
She added, “Going on their site, taking their time, writing. That’s a lot of effort goes into that.”
In a recent social media video, Kelly, 41, sent a message to haters who have commented on her weight loss.
“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like, ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic,’ or ‘You don’t look right,’” she started her comment.
“My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family. And I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side of my life.”
Kelly concluded her message by telling the critics to “f–k off.”
Additionally, the “Fashion Police” alum took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share that critics sending her hateful messages are likely insecure about themselves.
“All you’ve achieved is being a bully,” she said. “It’s sick. You’re mentally ill.”
“For example, you say that I look ill,” Kelly continued. “Well, I am ill right now. My life is completely flipped upside down. I don’t understand why people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it’s not.”
The “Osbournes” alum also stated that it wasn’t fair for her to be compared to herself as a teenager because facial structures change with age.
Ozzy Osbourne died in July at the age of 76.
