3 people arrested in St. Augustine after drug bust, sheriff's office says

Deputies found five pounds of marijuana, four pounds of methamphetamine, 1.25 pounds of cocaine, seven ounces of MDMA and one firearm at a home.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Three people were arrested and more than 10 pounds of drugs were seized after authorities conducted an undercover drug bust in St. Augustine, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO).

Deputies found five pounds of marijuana, four pounds of methamphetamine, 1.25 pounds of cocaine, seven ounces of MDMA and one firearm at a home.

On March 20, detectives, assisted by the SJSO Air Unit, SWAT and other units ran search warrants at 932 Puryear St. and 924 Puryear St., the sheriff’s office said.

Megan Adams, 36, was arrested for resisting arrest without violence, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charles Wright, 45, was arrested on an outstanding warrant, SJSO said.

Noel “Chris” Tobler, 55, was located by the U.S. Marshals Service and taken into custody, deputies said. He’s charged with armed trafficking cocaine between 28g-150kg, armed trafficking methamphetamine more than 14 grams, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, maintaining a drug dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

Adams was arrested March 20, according to court records. Tobler was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office April 7.
