A McDonald’s staff member found themselves victim to a stabbing after a confrontation with a volatile customer seeking a refund on Sunday, according to police and insider reports.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. when a dispute escalated within the fast-food establishment located on West Mount Eden Avenue, near Jerome Avenue in the Morris Heights neighborhood. The worker was attacked in the torso during the altercation.

The situation spiraled into violence as the disgruntled patron lost his temper over a refund issue, sources from law enforcement revealed.

Following the attack, the injured employee was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where medical personnel determined his condition to be stable, police indicated.

Police described the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, last spotted wearing a gray sweater and blue jeans. He was seen fleeing along Mount Eden Avenue towards the Grand Concourse, authorities noted.

No arrests had been made by Monday.

McDonald’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Post.
