LOS ANGELES — Excitement reached a fever pitch in the ballroom this week as “Dancing with the Stars” celebrated its semifinal round. The evening was a tribute to the legendary artist Prince, featuring music, dance, and a vibrant splash of purple.

The night concluded with an unexpected twist, as one of the competition’s most consistent and high-scoring pairs faced a surprising elimination.

What dances were performed on Prince Night on “Dancing With The Stars” and how were they scored?

In homage to Prince, the six remaining couples took to the floor twice, performing routines set to some of his most famous tracks.

  • Social media personality Alix Earle and partner Val Chmerkovskiy performed an Argentine Tango to “Little Red Corvette” and a Viennese Waltz to “Purple Rain.”
  • Wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and partner Witney Carson performed a Jive to “Baby I’m a Star” and a Viennese Waltz to “WOW.”

Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas were sent home.
