In a tense and chaotic scene on Chicago’s East Side, federal authorities were seen using chemical agents on Tuesday following a pursuit that ended in a collision, as detailed in a statement by an Illinois state lawmaker.

State Senator Elgie Sims expressed concern over the incident, indicating that he is closely observing the situation where federal agents engaged with bystanders, resulting in the use of an unidentified chemical agent to disperse the crowd. The dramatic events were captured from the skies by WGN, an affiliate network, showing a significant deployment of federal personnel in the area, as local Chicago Police responded to the aftermath of the crash.
