English soccer player throws chair at woman on vacation in stunning incident

Kian Harratt, a third division soccer player, tried to pin an incident involving a group of tourists on them, specifically under the chair, as shown in a video that surfaced this month.

Harratt, who plays for Oldham Athletic of England’s EFL League Two, had allegedly been captured on video throwing a chair that hit a woman at a pool in Ibiza, Spain, in a June 21 incident.

The player said he was “very apologetic” and felt “terrible” that a chair that had come out of his hands had struck the woman, The Sun reported, but blamed others for the melee.

He explained, according to the outlet, that a man had approached one of his friends and punched the friend, prompting Harratt to step in.

He claimed that he threw the chair because one was thrown at him, and he picked it back up and flung it at him, not meaning to hit the woman.

“He was the worst man you could ever come across and a bully! He was 6-foot-6 and built like a brick!” Harratt said.

Video of the incident showed the chair striking the woman, knocking her down, and seeming to send a second person falling into the pool.

But bystanders and those involved told a very different story about what had happened, with one witness, Kyle Crawford, telling the outlet that it was the footballer and his friends who were “being horrible” to a group of women.

Crawford added that the player and his pals were “just in the pool splashing them and throwing balls at them — being proper immature.”

The bystander said that he and his group of friends eventually stepped in to defender the women and it was Harratt and his friend who attacked them and one of their friends was hit first.
