LOS ANGELES — The “Dancing with the Stars” ballroom transformed into a realm of spine-chilling excitement as week seven unfolded with a Halloween-themed spectacle. The atmosphere was as eerie as it was electrifying, especially for the couple that faced elimination amidst the thrills of the night.
The competition intensified as the nine remaining duos took to the dance floor, showcasing their talents with an array of hauntingly creative routines. Adding to the excitement, the evening featured a dance marathon, aptly dubbed a “monster-thon,” where couples returned to the stage to vie for additional points.
However, the night wasn’t without its share of drama. Actress Elaine Hendrix, known for her work in film and television, suffered an injury during a rehearsal earlier in the day. Describing the incident, she mentioned a twisting sensation in her muscles under the ribs, which led to her being carried out of the ballroom on a stretcher.
Due to her condition, Hendrix was transported to the hospital and unable to participate in Tuesday’s live performance. The judges, in an unprecedented move, evaluated the couple based on their last recorded rehearsal. Fans were treated to their performance, albeit in an empty ballroom and without the anticipated costumes.
Encouragingly, doctors indicated that if Hendrix’s condition improved, she could potentially return to the competition in the following week. The unwavering support from fans suggests they are certainly rooting for her recovery and continued participation.
In the end, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jen Affleck and her partner Jan Ravnik were eliminated on Halloween night.
After the show, Affleck told Eyewitness News, “I just feel grateful, I gave it my all. I showed up and tried here and at home, being a mom, juggling, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
Here’s a look at the judge’s scoreboard, from both individual and marathon dances:
- Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy lead the pack this week with a total of 43 points
- Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas got 42 points
- Robert Irwin and Witney Carson earned 41 points
- Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach got 38 points
- Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa also earned 38 points
- Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov got 35 points
- Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten earned 32 points
- And bringing up the rear, Andy Richter and Emma Slater with 29 points
Next week’s show will be a tribute to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
