During live coverage of the England versus Ghana women’s soccer match in the U.K. on Tuesday, renowned British sports presenter Laura Woods unexpectedly collapsed due to what she described as a “virus.”
The unsettling moment unfolded on air as Woods, 38, suddenly fell forward. Fortunately, she was swiftly supported by former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright and fellow pundit Anita Asante, as captured in a widely circulated video.
The incident occurred while Wright was speaking, prompting the ITV cameras to quickly cut away from the live broadcast to manage the situation. When the coverage resumed, sports presenter Katie Shanahan stepped in to reassure viewers, stating that Woods had “taken ill” but was “in very good hands,” according to a report from Deadline.
Offering further reassurance, Woods’ fiancé, Adam Collard, known for his previous appearance on “Love Island,” took to social media to inform concerned fans that she is “all ok.”
Woods’ fiancé, former “Love Island” star Adam Collard, later shared that she is “all ok” in a message on social media.

“Laura is all OK and with the right people. Thank you for all of your kind messages,” he wrote.
Woods explained that she feels embarrassed over the incident in a message posted to her Instagram Story on Tuesday.
“Gosh that was a bit weird. Sorry to worry everyone, im ok, the wonderful paramedics at Saints have said it’s probably a virus, just need a bit of rest & hydration,” she wrote.
“I’m really embarrassed that happened on tv, but a big thank you to my colleagues at ITV who have really looked after me tonight. And to Wrighty & Neets for catching me and sorry again.”
