Shocking Reveal: Lindsay Clancy’s Drug Saga Takes Dramatic Turn in Court

Nurse Julie Paul expected to return to stand

Anticipation builds as Day 11 of Lindsay Clancy’s trial is about to commence in the Plymouth County Superior Court, Massachusetts. Scheduled to take center stage this morning is Nurse Julie Paul, who will be returning for a cross-examination by the defense, led by attorney Kevin Reddington.

Nurse Julie Paul, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, briefly interacted with Clancy in November 2022, just two months prior to the tragic events that led to the trial.

Paul facilitated a postpartum program and was introduced to Clancy through Sue Clancy, Patrick Clancy’s mother, who shares the same nursing profession.

Clancy dealt with intense anxiety and an incessantly racing mind. Yet, according to Paul, it was insomnia that posed the biggest challenge for her.

On November 21, 2022, Paul prescribed Prozac to Clancy. Shortly thereafter, she added Ambien, Remeron, and Klonopin to Clancy’s regimen, aiming to address her sleep issues.

In late-November, Paul was relocating to another hospital so transferred Clancy’s care to another nurse.

At that time, Clancy was also in the care of Dr Jennifer Tufts – who faced a grilling from Reddington on Monday about her experience and the quality of her treatment of Clancy in the four months leading up to the killings.
