X-rated scandal rocks GOP as aides are caught watching vile video

An explosive scandal involving the wife of a top Republican lawmaker has rocked the GOP – and is tearing Indiana’s legislature apart.

Two male staffers were allegedly caught watching a nude deepfake of state Rep. Craig Haggard’s wife Brooke while at work.

The clip was based on a video of her performing at a charity fundraiser talent show on April 9.

Gregg Puls and Devin Norrick were reported to have been ‘laughing’ while watching the tape the next day.

The pair work for Republican Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith, but his office claims there’s no evidence of the deepfake.

Now months later, local authorities have launched an investigation into the scandal that is continuing to plague the state house.

Rumors suggest that a grand jury may be convened to investigate the issue. Meanwhile, the staff of the Lieutenant Governor have either been dismissed or have resigned.

Beckwith’s communications director James Kehoe resigned this week, a source familiar with the situation told the Daily Mail.

Kehoe did not view the alleged deepfake video, but his exit came due to ‘frustration’ over the drama that’s unfolded, the source shared.

“James Kehoe resigned effective immediately on August 7, 2025. His resignation was not related to the alleged deepfake,” the lieutenant governor’s office stated to the Daily Mail.

Kehoe did not respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment. But a source said Kehoe did resign, in part, due to the deepfake scandal.

‘I can tell you he was frustrated when he and I worked together,’ they said, referring to the Lt. Gov.’s office.

The former communications director was ‘never included’ and often in ‘difficult’ positions dealing with Beckwith, the source shared.

Another senior adviser for Beckwith, Erin Sheridan, was fired by the Lt. Gov.’s office last week, a source said.

Sheridan did not provide comment. It’s unclear whether she was involved with the deepfake drama.

A source familiar with the Indiana GOP told the Daily Mail that around the time of Sheridan’s departure last week, the video became the talk of the office once again.

They heard that when Sheridan was ‘let go’ she had ‘retained a law firm’ and also  ‘started speaking on some of these issues – including the video – to other people.’

‘I had heard rumors that the video had been played again, which I hope is not the case,’ the source said.

There are also rumors swirling about whether a grand jury will be directed to investigate further.

As it stands, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office is looking into the matter and no updates have been announced.

Neither Puls, Beckwith’s deputy chief of staff and chief ethics officer, nor Norrick, the Lt. Gov.’s attorney, returned the Daily Mail’s requests for comment.

The lieutenant governor has denied having ever seen the video, and his office claims it has no evidence of its existence.

‘At this time, our office has found no evidence that a video was ever produced or viewed by anyone internally,’ a spokesperson for the Beckwith’s office told the Daily Mail. But others are adamant the deepfake is real.

‘I can confirm I know the video exists,’ the source told the Daily Mail, confirming the original reporting. They have not seen the video.

‘It’s the talk of the town, and that there is an investigation,’ they said. This source also alleged that the deepfake was also played for a handful of ‘staffers and non-staffers’ in the Lt. Gov.’s office.

‘Things in Indiana don’t stay under underwater too long it, it’ll start breaking open soon,’ they added.

Beckwith told 24sight News that he spoke with Puls after the drama unfolded.

Puls reportedly told him the entire matter ‘is absolutely nonsense’ and the deepfake video does not exist.

If anyone has viewed pornography while on the job they would be immediately fired, Beckwith told the outlet.

Republican State Rep. Craig Haggard is seething over the claims that top state officials’ employees created and viewed the disturbing deepfake content featuring his wife Brooke. He is calling for ‘heads to roll.’

‘At the end of the day, I just want whoever is responsible, whether if it’s true or not true, or somebody just made it up, I want … their heads to roll,’ Haggard has said, according to the Indiana Capital Chronicle.

Haggard has called the situation a ‘serious, horrible allegation’ and said he does not think his fellow leaders are taking the matter seriously. He has not seen the reported video.

The Haggards did not respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office did not respond to a request for comment.
