An 88-year-old woman from Seattle is recovering in the hospital after suffering severe injuries in a brutal attack and robbery, during which the assailant bit off her finger and stole her jewelry, according to police reports.
The disturbing incident occurred on October 13 in the Rainier Beach area, specifically on the 9900 block of 64th Avenue South. The Seattle Police Department has since released surveillance images of the suspect, who is believed to be a man in his 30s, as stated in their recent news release.
The elderly woman was tending to household chores on her back porch when the suspect approached her, demanding her valuables.

Seattle police, along with officers from Burien, Tukwila, and the King County Sheriff’s Office, searched the area for the suspect, but he remains at large, according to the news release.
