The host of the popular show “Ghost Adventures” experienced a shocking twist in his personal life while on set. During the filming of his paranormal reality series, he received a call from the police, informing him that his wife had been arrested for allegedly plotting to murder him.

Aaron Goodwin, accompanied by his co-host Jay Wasley, was busy arranging UV lights and polaroid cameras at an old medical facility in Southern California. It was during this setup that Goodwin reported a strange sensation.

“I have a feeling something’s happening,” Goodwin mentioned, hinting at an unusual occurrence.

However, instead of encountering the supernatural, as is typical for his show, he was confronted with alarming news: law enforcement officers were at his residence.

“Man, the police are at my house,” Goodwin exclaimed to Wasley, his voice revealing his rising panic.

Goodwin left the premises to take the call outside, leaving Wasley behind.

‘That’s fine, but I’m not staying in here by myself,’ Wasley responded, trailing behind.

Ghost Adventures cut off the footage there, shielding viewers from the remainder of the gritty conversation where Goodwin was told that his wife, Victoria, had been arrested and charged for conspiracy to commit murder, according to TMZ.

Police allege she had been messaging with an inmate in Florida about getting out of her marriage with Goodwin.

‘Am I a bad person?,’ she allegedly wrote to Grant Amato. ‘Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.’

Police said that she and Amato had saved up more than $11,000 to pay for the hit. The two were allegedly having an affair, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Their plot was discovered when police found Amato’s contraband phone. The inmate was already serving time for killing his mother, father, and brother.

Goodwin filed for divorce less than a week after his wife’s arrest. According to KSNV, he stated in the complaint that there was no chance of reconciliation.

Victoria pled guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in April.

She was sentenced two months later to a minimum of three to seven and a half years behind bars in Nevada after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors.

According to US Weekly, she apologized to her estranged husband during a court appearance in June.

The couple had been together for seven years and Goodwin filed for divorce only six days after his wife’s arrest

‘I’m so immensely sorry for the pain and anxiety I’ve caused you and the betrayal you undoubtedly and rightfully feel by my actions,’ she said.

‘I need you to know that I will always hold love for you. I genuinely pray you find your joy and peace again, and I will bow out of your life forever to hopefully ease that process. I’m sorry I broke us, and I’m consumed with regret every day.

‘My absolute promise to you is that you’ll never see or hear from me.’

The couple had been together for seven years.

Ghost Adventures first aired in 2008 and follows a team of paranormal investigators as they travel the world tracking down alleged hauntings.

Goodwin posted about the episode and the media attention he has received from his highly unusual divorce prior to it airing.

‘This next episode of [Ghost Adventures] is when I got the FaceTime call from the cops,’ he posted on Instagram

‘They were in my house & told me what she did & she was arrested. I won’t be watching this episode cause I don’t want to relive that night again & what happened before the call.’

In an earlier post he thanked his supporters for their love and opened up about his mental health amidst the ongoing divorce.

‘They say in time everything gets better but I just want the divorce to be over so I can move on with my life,’ he wrote.

‘Honestly, I probably couldn’t make it through an interview without being in tears and I’m just not ready yet. This has been the worst year of my life.’

The Daily Mail reached out to Las Vegas Police and Goodwin for comment.
