JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man in his 50s is recovering after being shot inside Que Padre on University Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police told First Coast News someone fired through the front window of the restaurant overnight Saturday, hitting the victim in the back. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is now in stable condition.

Investigators said the suspect, dressed in all black, took off on a bicycle after the shooting.

Detectives said they believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
